I Look..... Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Do I look stupid and fool?
Because all the time I remain cool,
Though I remained intelligent at school,
Never tried to make others fool,

People know I will not react?
Hesitate more and then act,
What is then matter of fact?

I never do the things wrong,
Always get together and remain among,
Mentally and emotionally very strong,
I know it is difficult and march long,

I don’t submit unreasonable demand,
Not subject anybody for unnecessary remand,
Listen to his views and patient hearing,
This brings closeness and nearing,

I act only when it is necessary,
Never feel tired and look so weary,
Still find no place and pushed to corner,
I know it will end for them sooner or later,

I shall make big headway,
All will ask and believe what I say,
I will be very sympathetic and kind,
Always at their service with approach kind,

I wish they should fast progress,
Confine to self and never transgress,
Tackle the problems and self address,
Never lament and express redress,

So I like people honest and straight,
Who stand for good and remain straight,
Never relent and face the fury,
Master of destiny and self a jury.
