I Love You Too Poem by D.N. Rebb

I Love You Too

Rating: 5.0

How sweet it is
To be in love
And to laugh
For no reason
The universal language
That turns nothing into everything
That nourishes our existence
And gives purpose to life
With simple looks across a room
Or hands that are held in the theatre

A rose represents love
And acts as the appetite
Of our soul
But what if love,
Is an epidemic?
Or just a dream?
What if it's secretive?
What if love is just too common?
Or worse, just a game

True love is innocent
True love does not overthink
There is as much give as take
And there are times when it aches
Times when it's questioned
Yet we are our own architects

Pardon the rant
You say, you love me
And I still stand behind,
I love you too
