I'M Telling You Something Here Poem by Francis Duggan

I'M Telling You Something Here

I'm telling you something here you ought to know
That you will not find any flowers where weeds do grow
The weeds that grow rank in the mild life giving Spring showers
Outgrow and then stifle the beautiful flowers
Like some of the negative leaders in the World of today
By the way they do think and the things they do say
They ruin any chance of peace in their negative way
By creating this monster of us against they
To the weeds of the garden one them can compare
For their own warped sense of power they only seem to care
To pigeon hole those different they do see as just
We trust them with power and they abuse our trust
The flowers of the garden have gone to decay
The weeds have deprived them of the light of day.
