I Must Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

I Must

I must.
As well as others should choose.
God kept to trust.
And truth done to do.
More valued these days to stay unafraid,
To pursue with strength...
In maintaining conformity of what is right.
Over the wrongs that are done.
Knowing overnight,
What is observed to witness...
Began developing within sight.
And broad daylight.
Inflicting conscious minds,
To accept re-occurring conflicts.

I must.
As well as others choose to refuse,
Feeding on diets to invite this appetite.
This craze to crave.
As if sugared to taste.
Yet delays to release behaviors to unleash,
Sickened mentalities engaged in outrage.
Collectively disgusting truth.
And loss of insight.
Gone.
To perform,
A wealth of inappropriate misdeeds.

But I must keep trust to value.
As well as others too!
To know that which deceives,
Has no place with us to belong.
And this from us must leave.
No matter how tasteful...
Conflicts to dangle are claimed to benefit!
