I Must Believe Poem by Thea Pound

I Must Believe

Rating: 4.5

I must believe in His voice. I must believe.
No matter what, I cannot let myself doubt,
Because in this world, stranger things can - and must - happen;
If I can believe in his voice (A million to one chance) ,
Then I can believe in less probable things;
Things my own senses deny me proof of.

I must believe in His voice. I must believe.
Because the world will not confirm He exists.
Because as a child, I always found reason to laugh - And smile,
Though it was simple, I knew love (I knew that it existed) ,
That naivety has long died away;
The world I see knows no unconquerable love.

I must believe in His voice. I must believe.
Because if I accept that which does not exist for others,
I do not need their vision and views - I'll shape my own world.
I can create love (and from love comes justice, freedom) ,
If I can just suspend belief, they can exist,
Because He can exist, if I listen carefully enough...

Very nice...that Voice always speaks to you if you but open your ears.
