I Owe Who I Am To You Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

I Owe Who I Am To You

How grateful I am,
To have lived.
And You have allowed it.

To experience seasons,
With changes that exist.
In an acceptance,
Of Your offerings...
That come and go,
To be as is.

And to be able to express this...
In a completedness,
I do not resist.
With an acknowledgement,
My life on Earth without You...
Would leave me less blessed,
And prehaps without gifts.

How grateful I am,
To have lived.
And You have allowed it.
To lead me to learn and to grow.
Knowing I owe who I am to You!
