I Pray Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I Pray

Rating: 5.0

I pray sun god
To share my load
In each morning
Till I finish hard work in evening

Great noon gives me no respite
I have quality to fight
Against odd
As new energy is sought

Sun had been always the source
For me as driving force
To inject new thoughts
As parents always taught

I used to look at sun
In early morning with fun
As it grew larger and larger
With dimension for entire area to cover

“What would have happened” if sun was not here
I wondered as boy and opined too
World may turn cold for us to die
There may be no life left to survive

Yes sun is millions of years old
Whole of living things are present in world
It is some divine power that holds key
We call Him creator or almighty
