I Quit Poem by Naom Kerubo

I Quit

Rating: 4.0

I QUIT

I quit making random comments
I want to run and lie on the cements
The road leads all along to the hill
So let me from my troubles chill
That I can try to smile a bit
Because all I want is to quit

Making good out of the worst
Defines what I want to cast
And place it beneath my heart
That I don't want it to hurt
Making all the good deeds fade
Leaving me under this shade

If I win and stuck it out
I will let myself shout
The moments here are so strange
I will try so hard to change
This pace that seems so slow
Before I succeed with another blow

Cement is wet; when it dries it becomes concrete. line 13: 'stick', not 'stuck'. In Poet's Notes, do you MEAN 'apart' or 'a part'? bri : )

Beautiful sincerity. A compassionate song of the heart.
