I Send You Flowers Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

I Send You Flowers

I send you flowers,
not for their colors or scent,
but because they carry the weight
of my thoughts -
soft petals holding the whispers I
cannot speak.

They bloom like the way you move through my mind,
unfolding in the gentle hush of morning,
in the warmth of a sunbeam that
finds my skin
just when I need to feel alive.

Some will wither, as all things do,
but in their fading, they leave behind
something deeper-
a trace of longing, a breath of love,
a memory rooted in the earth of us.
