I shall

It is commitment
For the present
That represents
Love's moment

Love is not to select
And act
For lust
But offer trust

That I shall hold your hand
And be friend
Till time comes to an end
And the wishes are fulfilled

I shall feel happiness
When you smile with no heaviness
It is real and offers joy
For others to see through and enjoy

So I shall hate
Even if that has come very late
That I shall not hurt
Even if the reply offered is curt
