I Shall Love You

I shall love you sweet and true
Bright as a summer's day
Glorious with a lover's lingering kiss.
Within your bright presence
There are no shadows
Only love invincible.
Without you
Life would be an icy winter
With barren snow covered landscape.
I count the hours
Listening for your footsteps
With promise of your kisses.
