I Stood Alone
My life alone
Became my choice
Although it wasn't
How I thought
A premonition
So long ago
What I felt
When you let go
Faceless people
Whom I would love
But only briefly
Before I moved on
It's the same feeling
I felt that day
When you closed your eyes
Never to awake
I stood alone
Not wanting to move
Unwilling to face
A life without you
