I Won't Be Silenced Poem by Linda Barnes

I Won't Be Silenced

Rating: 5.0

I won't be silenced
When I am told to
I won't hang back
Because you think I should

Don't mistake my heart
As one to be trampled
Don't mistake my affection
Is given without boundaries

My strengths are many
As well as my faults
Its not up to you
To question one, or the other

For I am a Woman
I can be kind, loving and true
However, I am ferocious
If disrespected or cornered by you

An invisible red line is drawn
In the sand, you see
If you cross it
Then you misjudged me
