I Stop Here Poem by Terri Turrell

I Stop Here

What if I said
I will lie here
in this place
And cease to breath

Would you paint me
serenity and peace

A field of flowers
to mark my passing
will grow where
I could not

I wove fantasies
from butterfly wings
for every one I met

I like all four with the supposition of the first leading to the potential of the second, the brilliant third and the powerful last. I cannot help ut see a Mona Lisa-like painting of you as a memorial for HIS mind.

Hi Terri... Your third verse is a thought I would like to have written. Actually I feel that this poem would be complete with just the first and third verses.I could live without the second verse one way or another. We all see things differently. Keep in touch Thanks Martin
