I surrender

I surrender
simply as follower
or devotee
and see it as the duty

what am I doing on the earth?
simply eating and waiting for death
I feel shame for my faith
and feel uncomfortable for taking a breath

God, you have given me precious life
That is very difficult and torn with strife
Yet, I like it very much
And regret not as such

I am simple and ordinary
but follows the rules that are necessary
I look towards the sky
but never question, why?

I know, I have the limited role to play
but try to stay as honest as possible
give me some courage to stand fast
and face the crucial test at the last

nothing is in my hand
you have my destiny at the end
so I knell down
and whisper of my own
