I Think Of You - Poem by Lucy Burrow

As the eventide draws her veil across the sun
And the stars bejewel the sky with pricks of light
As the dew falls and nestling birds make still
And the day dissolves into the night
I think of you.
May the angels watch you sleeping safe and sound
May you dream of Peace and happy, sunny times
May no pain nor sound disturb your rest
And love, as Midnight chimes........
I think of you

Rich flow of thoughts elegantly brought forth from the heart. An absolutely pleasing write-up, Lovely and very passionate. Thanks for sharing Lucy. (Report) Reply

What a beautiful construction of allegory in every sentence worth million dollars!
