I Want To Be Normal Poem by Christopher's Dead

I Want To Be Normal

Rating: 5.0

I want to be normal
I wake up in the morning
With a dry taste of shame and self-loathing
While you wake up
To the sound of birds chirping happily
At night I sit alone in the dark
And contemplate contemplating suicide
While you curl up in your bed
With a good book to read and hope in your heart
You laugh at the simplicity
Behind teenage lust and unjust anxiety
While to me it looks like the eyes of fear
And slow pulsating death to my insides
Your favorite color is red
Because it reminds you of love and the sunset
While my favorite color is red
Because it is the color of blood
When you say goodbye
You really mean to say see you later
While when I say goodbye
I really mean goodbye forever
I want to be normal

This is my favorite poem by far. But who said you are not one of the millions of other people the same way. Like me. your as normal as I can see it.

This really makes me start thinking about everything. Comparing myself with the world and the people around me. Perhaps, we all arent as normal as we may seem... very intoxicating if thats possible
