I Was A Slave Of This World.

It took time for me.
It took me years
to know you.

I was so entangled in
material ways and thoughts.

I was a slave to this world.
All that was mundane attracted me.
I ran after and fell deep in mud.

Lord it is so late that
I came to know you.

It took time for me
to know you and love you.
