I Will Be Me In My Open Honesty; However Unsettling That Might Be For Any Of You!

By Stanley Collymore

I will be me! That said who else
should I be other than myself?
And although I'm perfectly
happy and quite willing
to positively learn from and
beneficially or prudently
engender the laudable
encounters of others;
any such actions by
me will simply only
be used to assist
when applicable
in servicing the
loyal nature of
just who and
what in true
tenor I am.

Instead of serving as
a mechanism just
for change; aimlessly
transforming myself
and nonsensically
doing so only for
the worthlessly
irrelevant and
quite inanely
channelled
action idly
procured
by an itinerary of self-
regarding exertions.
Their main aim to
dishonestly turn
me into either
someone or
something
I'd rather
not be.

For to let the latter ever happen
would for me most definitely
constitute a real travesty
in regards of who and
what I actually am as this
specific human being;
while crucially and
intently creating
someone who
elementally
is not me.
So unapologetically
and conscionably
I not only prefer
to be who and
what I realize
I am but will
faithfully do
everything
to stay on
being me.

Author's Remarks:
"No sensible person would trust an arsonist with matches or a cigarette lighter; so why then do you customarily trust liar politicians with your own life? Both are highly inflammatory agents whose known propensity to be destructive is rivalled only by their natural inclination to be unpredictable! " (Copyright: Stanley V. Collymore) .
