I Wonder Poem by Bonnie Harding

I Wonder

I wonder what you'd do, , , if you were me,
Wouldn't you think I just wanted to be free?
Could you kiss me goodbye as I went on my way,
Knowing who I'd be seeing each and every day?

I wonder what you'd do, , , if you were me,
Would you hurt so much you'd turn your back on me?
Is your love strong enough to give me back your heart,
Even after I betrayed you and tore it all apart?

I wonder what you'd do, , , if you were me,
Would you fight this hard for what should be?
Could you love me enough to hide your fears,
Smile at me with eyes full of unshed tears?

I wonder what you'd do, , , if you were me,
Not talk to anyone, don't let anyone see?
Just pray my love can be like it use to be,
Or would you just walk out that door, , , , , if you were me? ? ? ?
