I Wonder About Wishes Poem by Jim Yerman

I Wonder About Wishes

When I was a child I would laugh with joy...the world was innocent and new,
But secretly, inside my mind...I wished to do what grownups do...

Now that I'm old...I still laugh with joy...but the world's not so innocent and new,
And secretly, inside my mind, I wish to do what children do.
