I Won't Fight For You Poem by Randy McClave

I Won't Fight For You

I won't fight for you
It would be a battle that I would lose,
It would be war I wouldn't want to go through
Besides, the victor you already did chose.
You have already picked your side
So, it would be an emotional waste of energy and time,
I won't defend a person who has cheated or lied
That will not be my war crime.
You continually said that you have been hurt and abused
Then with a white flag you began to cry,
Your ex and his ex were the ones you accused
Then, you wanted and needed me as your ally.
You packed up and then you came to my house to live
I gave you help and money to support your life,
And I always did love, and protect, and did give
And you weren't even my girlfriend or my wife.
Then the war it started
And for you, you wanted me to defend and fight,
But, then you quickly and also suddenly departed
I was the only one that you did smite.
For you, I will not ever fight or defend
My honor and pride and trust is now much greater,
Condolences to you is all that I will ever send
To my heart and my soul you were a traitor.
