I Would Have You Know Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

I Would Have You Know

I would have you know
(PJHD)
I would have you know my Muse sings because of you
Your friendship, which never wavered over the years
Has kept me upon on the route to what I have achieved.
There were hardships shared, sacrifices you made
Never questioning, doubting, supporting, encouraging
My best friend, always ready to go the extra mile
Carrying me when steps faltered and I would have fallen.
Sharing the pilgrim's way through life's great wonders
Having faith and seeing the beauty of God's creation.
Many times keeping my head above churning waves
When I would have drowned, lost to ocean depths
Muse silenced in chilling darkness of the sea bed.
Many times you carried me to some safe harbour
Mooring my ship of life until the raging storm abated.
