I Would Rather Not Think At All Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

I Would Rather Not Think At All

There are certain things that I've decided not think'bout
Democracy ‘cause it's a ‘cracy' in demo form that can't be sustained over time
Patriotism, since we can't spell it in my country
There's nothing patriarchal about the word anymore
Why should I think'bout peace while I've a holster belt in my waist
Unity makes no sense when warmongers sit at UN to discuss the humanity's common good
Socialism is anathema, only social thieves' n' murderers are for the benefits
Communism, for there's nothing communal with common thieves
Neither will I think'bout the village for there's nothing no more but moral spillage
Universities are but academic farms devoid of universal intellect
Same as colleges, but institutions of collateral moral decadence
Maybe I'd rather not think'bout anything n' keep my moral sanity!
