I Yielded Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

They pleaded me,
But I refused them,
They tried to convince me sincerely,
Again I denied to go with them,
Finally they threatened me
And this time I yielded,
As I was afraid of their great strength.
I knew I was an insignificant social creature
With my simple and ordinary stature,
So I had to walk with them in the wrong way,
The problem was solved,
But I had to give up my moral sense,
I was absolutely defeated,
Shame and disgust engulfed my mind.
