Ice And Angel Wings Poem by Holly Jamestone

Ice And Angel Wings

When a friend goes to Heaven first
It’s hard to comprehend
The how’s, the why’s, until we both
Can meet up in the end

If they’re like a sister
And their age is close to mine
I crawl under the covers
Until my Friend Divine

Peers gently through my window
With frost above the sill
And writes a friendship message
To tweak my hope and will

Written backwards from her side
I saw the precious line
With Angels now beside her
Three hearts will intertwine

“I will see you later”
That is all she said
Scrawled in Ice and Angel Wings
Witnessed from my bed

When a Friend Goes to Heaven First
They save a place for you
Until the day you reunite
All glory shining through

“I will see you later”
That is all she said
Scrawled in Ice and Angel Wings
Witnessed from my bed

For LILLY and SHANNON
