Idle Mind At Rest Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Idle Mind At Rest

Past is gone by
Present is open to try
Future may be anybody's guess
Why to think so much and stress?

Dusk to down or down to dusk
We are confused and struck
Why past should hunt us
When is full of promises with trust

We consider our selves intelligent
Think different and present too
Sometimes it has no head and tail
Eventually we suffer and fail

We are normal human
With no power like divine
What do we expect and do?
Can sometimes never prove true

So put the idle mind at rest
Face no more tests
Live peacefully in present
With worries absolutely absent
