If A Poem Could Reach Heaven Poem by Not Long Left

If A Poem Could Reach Heaven

Rating: 4.5

Did you choose the weeping willow,
to hang from,
for its ironic sentiment,
if so you should have stayed alive,
for you had much more irony,
to share with us alive.
Did you choose to go leaving us with those words,
'gone to play dice with some other god'
if so you should have stayed with us,
for gods are all knowing and would always win.
Did you let the nightmares ruin the dreams,
if so i would have stayed awake with you for eternity,
just so your smile was a smile,
and not an image replayed in my memory bank of my mind.
I hope that where ever you are, so near or so far,
you are writing those poems,
and painting the rooms of the angels,
with them
and that sleep is sweet,
for you my departed friend.
