If I Can Trust You Again Poem by Gert Strydom

Where you have totally broken
my faith in you and in what true love is,
it's as if in a way you are taking revenge.
I do not know what the future holds
and if ever I can trust you again
or what is behind your words and acts,
while you keep hiding the truth from me,
or how to view temporary at a hold,
where I do only hope that you do
love me from your heart, spirit, soul and flesh
and in all of this I am very confused,
when words and acts curt right through my life
and in me there is now this silent fear
that everything will get worse past critical.
