If I loved you I'd know you well
enough so I could tell
You all that's on my mind
And everything I'd leave behind.
We'd lie on the beach unfettered, free
Enjoying the grandeur of the sea
Nowhere seeing or sensing a care
Only joy bursting out everywhere.
We'd watch the sunset swathed in red
No hungers clamoring to be fed
The surf breaking foamy white
Tucking another day from sight.
I'd remember always your smile so bright
My love so strong I had to write
how no sight on Earth could so light
up the night as that billowy nimbus cloud flight.
I'd remember too the magic view
That almost matched the nearness of you
As love, laughter and moonlight mirrored my wonder
Your sighs matched mine so joyously right.

It's a beautifully written poem, expressive, and highly descriptive with views light and bright, like song. Well constructed images, descriptive feelings and very attractive form. A true delight to read and be remembered.
