If Only Poem by Gary Ware

If Only

Rating: 5.0

A beautiful place this world would be
If we could all learn to live in harmony
Not fighting with nature, let's all live as one
In tune with the seasons the moon and the sun
Stop polluting our rivers, lakes and our seas
Our grasslands our flowers and forests of trees
No need for religion, for that causes strife
Through fear and intimidation, it's really not nice
Worship the planet, its beauty, is ever so rare
We are its keepers, we should show it more care
Stop all of the fighting, over money and greed
A people born in shackles, will be finally freed
This is my wish and very much my dream
Happy winter solstice, this is how life should be
