If Only Eyes Could Speak Poem by Soumili Karmakar

If Only Eyes Could Speak

Dried flowers lying sometimes before eyes could hold,
Love with ever changing colours treasuring our souls,
Stars crossing in a realm of petals, words uninhabited though.
Would you consent to my dreams, if only eyes could speak for withering leaves?
Would you wish to see, the bunch of wildflowers, I saved from my sun's dreams while walking down the old road?

I could find you in all my tomorrows light,
Forgetting my scarf and returning where fate revisits in skies of eternal delight, merging with sunsets.
As flowers dreamt forever in blinking stars, addressing you whenever their eyes met your's without any scar.

I feel, life is long when you stare at my beloved moon
My Spring gathers fresh mornings to caress clouds
Because existence meant kindness in eyes without words of promises
But glimpses of hope to be alive and breathe;
Knowing nights will reverse and days will glide
Rhythms of tides shall glow in depths, and moon will see you before the new sunrise.

Winds guarding an echo to touch the world in colours of morning rains,
To love a travelling light, shining wherever one goes and healing the dim-lit minds of lost souls.
Anywhere seems everywhere
As the undying candle-flickers,
Lingering beside the window panes,
Still not leaving a soul alone, or stepping out from the opened door,
Was always found in tears left as unknown.

The irreplaceable arts engulfed in cherry blossoms,
Blooming so bright writing verses out in white to secure days of snows.
"Do you hear? ", They say.
"Do you read me in eyes of unsayable years that were yet to be met, under the stars of destinies? "
My longings tracing a way to write testimonies of misty seasons,
Believing beyond the grave of my heart still beats, and flowers wait for grace to my reasons
As long as we're stitched into those depths of seas.
Sometimes unnamed like a tune I hum
Sometimes untamed like fairies in blue skies of wisdom,
I believe, clouds will come by singing symphonies of dawn
Meadows will know which soothes mountains in all my never ending wants.
