If You Are Here Poem by Marilyn Jean

If You Are Here

If you are here
I came to say bye
Bye for today
I wish I could leave
For ever without
One word hanging out
Left for all to see
But I cannot, so weird
Not that my lines
Ever rhyme
But I am hooked
To the question
Do they read?
Silence falls
Of course they don't
And if they did
How sad it would be
My texts are bad
To perfection
Unlike this love
So good
In all imperfections
Is it just me?
Reaching here
Well maybe
Since I don't know
If you are here
So, bye for now
