Ignorantly Blind Poem by Jennifer Rose

Ignorantly Blind

Nobody stopped to hear the whispering,
The lights cast a dim darkness.
Everything in shadow put in hiding,
Sapping every bit of happiness.

Did anyone ever see her tears?
Have you ever heard her cry?
Hands pressed to ears,
Looking up at the sky.

Flashing red, blue, and white colors,
Are outside the house.
Handcuffed and led outdoors,
The person was no better than a louse.

The one person to count on,
Never showed up.
Fire spread upon the lawn,
The door closed shut.

She is now gone to everyone,
Her grave somewhere around.
It was done,
The murder is abound.
