Illegally Taking Children Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Illegally Taking Children

Ringing through the total bureaucracy of C.P.S., finding their
ways of taking children away from their parents illegally.

Amazed at the audacity of the social workers who are supposed
to be protecting children, instead taking and hurting them
beyond repair.

So much nonsense involved, they have parents going back and
forth from one court to another - miles away from each other.

Tons of double-talk and no one knows or refuses to tell the
truth of what needs to be done under the guise of they can't
give any legal advice.

Unbelievable jargon, tangling emotions and hands of parents
who have not done anything wrong.

Tearing their children away and leaving others to pick up
pieces, but they don't have the essential pieces to the
puzzle, because they belong only to the parents.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Yes, I am totally against C.P.S. and their abusive ways of handling their cases. They should be shut down and a private business with therapists to investigate the cases should be instituted. There would be less mistakes in handling the cases and harming children. I know of too many cases where children have been taken from parents for no good reason whatsoever. Children are emotionally damaged, having anxiety attacks because of separation anxiety. Trying to say 'see the kids are doing good in school and have passed to the next grade now - their behavior has improved also'. No that is not the reason. The children want to go back home and think it is all their fault what happened. Therefore, like children of alcoholics, trying to be the perfect little children so they can be reunited with their parents. All the lies abounding also, coming from the mouths of the social workers - writing notes that don't pertain to the case and demanding undue things from parents in order to get their children back. Child abuse runs rampant amongst the people who say they are helping - I have witnessed it first hand.
