Papa Crutch

Image Of A Man - Poem by Papa Crutch

Here comes that introspection again
With another lame excuse,
Brandishing scars of its affliction
From the same old abuse.

Just another obscure collection
Of 'Nothing left to say, '
Reveling the mind by paradox
With thoughts it can't defray

Just more talk from backseat drivers
And broadway fanatics,
Evidencing their sweet affinity
For those hit-and-run antics.

It's just what you get
When you try to build on sand;
It's just what you get
From the image of a man.

    Very poor. Forced rhyme and little substance. Can you do better?
