Imaginary Love Poem by Sandra Feldman

Imaginary Love

Love fantasies that come and go,
Imaginary Life that isn't so,
That's when love comes, appears too late,
Or never was, part of your fate.

LOVE APPEARS TOO LATE - Who determines it's too late? Will individuals censor themselves? Well, that pretty bad, B-U-T LOVE WAS NEVER PART OF YOUR FATE - that's like a flaw in the universe! Can Fate be so irresponsible? But I suppose so: Richard Wagner, who wrote the most passionate love music of all time in the most uncompromising tale of romantic love in his opera TRISTAN UND ISOLDE claimed he had never experienced true; love. I'll trade a dozen imaginary loves for one real one!
