Imagination Poem by Alicia Meyers

Imagination

Imagination flows through the mind,
Creating a fantasy world for those to find,
A whole new life to explore,
And so much more.

A child's dreams began to come true,
A life of an imagination for me and you,
As a child with a life full of fairytales,
There were no correcting or any fails.

No rights or wrongs,
This world began to become long,
Until the childhood was over,
And the imagination grew to be undercover.

Undercover it was for the lonely,
As the child began in teenaging,
Imagination was forever alone,
As the teenager grew up to be on their own.

The teenager couldn't dream,
Because they would lose out on reality,
But once in a blue moon,
They close their eyes and reality would come soon.

As the child turned into a teenager,
Into an old adult by years later,
They lose their imagination,
Until they leave for heaven.

How nice it would be,
If adults would succumb,
To the imagination,
That once had begun.

And bring alive,
A life full of dreams,
To share amongst many,
In the colorful streams.

Imagination flows from the mind to heart,
Creating a fantasy world that won't be torn apart,
A life worth living for,
As one begins to explore.
