Inspiration Poem by Alicia Meyers

Inspiration

These pages aren't yet written,
The lines on my paper are blank,
I don't know what to write,
Just a head full of nothing.
I'm thinking of intresting things,
That you all will like to read,
But I can't seem to write,
Anything.
I hit my pen with my thumb,
Over and over,
And I can't think of what to write,
That you guys will like.
I put my pen over the paper,
Like I had something to write,
But I fooled myself,
And pulled it away from the lines.
If only I had an inspiration,
If only something will make me think,
If only there would be a light bulb over my head,
Saying: I had an idea.
But once I listen to the music in my iPod,
I get an idea of different types,
My inspiration has come to my brain,
And I can write these pages that are blank.
