Immigrants Quest Poem by Randy McClave

Immigrants Quest

He said this about an immigrants quest
Mexico and Africa and Asia are not sending us their best,
They are sending to America the worse that they got
To send us the good ones, they do not.
They are sending us their criminals and the rebel's
They are sending the U.S their murderers and devils,
This he said, I will tell you is the truth
They are just sending to America all their rotten fruit.
This myself I will truthfully say to him
You and your family indeed were never a gem,
Your parents and grandparents came to this great land
Because, in their country they were cowards to make a stand.
Do you truly think Europe sent America the best that they had
Do you not think when they left, Europeans were glad,
They never sent their Kings or Dukes or Prince's or royalty
They send their poor and the sick and those living in poverty.
Lady Liberty said give us your tired and your poor
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Bring your huddled masses yearning to breathe free
Come proudly and live in our country.
Do you think that only Christians were on the Mayflower
Don't your think Europe were happy to get rid of him or her,
And when they headed for America on the open seas
Don't you believe that Europe was then at ease.
Immigrants are not the ones that's ruining America
Not now or yesterday or in any era,
It's the liars and the racists and the non Christians
It's the rich and the wealthy and the greedy and the politicians.
