Impatience Poem by Palitha Ranatunge

Impatience

I hear the footsteps
Following me in the dark
Passage surrounded by
death itself, my love
I smell your sweetness
- how you were breathing
in lonely slumbering nights
having tired of my lust...
Did you hurt by him
my long eyed, Perisphone,
may I not look at
the wonder of your striding
like gliding swan,
may I look at you
my slender figured Perisphone,
to embrace your soul
to be reborned...
