Impressions Poem by Judy Jones

Impressions

My presence is not tranquil
My heavy feet leave lasting impressions in this soil
My voice unravels creatures around
The sight of me disturbs and disrupts

I do not understand
The things I desire
Yet I still reside here
For the lack of closure
And all the while
My character is still
My heart is content in its solitude
Perhaps it has gone numb
And will never awaken
But maybe someday someone will come along
And either awaken it or break it.
