In A World For Winners Poem by Francis Duggan

In A World For Winners

In a World for winners to be a winner everyone choose
But for one to win big many do have to lose
This is how it is and how it will stay
For winners there are losers life works in this way

There are winners and losers in the World every day
And always for the winners the loudest hooray
To be a winner everyone to does aspire
For the winner is the one that everyone does admire

Only the very noble can lose in grace
The winner is the one with the happy smiling face
That in the World there are more losers than winners as a fact does remain
The reason for this it's own self does explain

Wisdom from the past one can only recall
That it is as it always was a winners World after all
For the winners the glory the wealth and the fame
The winner is the one that everyone knows by name.
