In All Of This Poem by Gert Strydom

In All Of This

I hear the call of the cuckoo
and in all of this I long for and miss you,
the afternoon's rain comes with thunder,
there are butterflies that leave me speechless
while the later sun is white-hot in the bright blue.
These are the things that I do remember about this summer,
I want to write great words to you but remain speechless,
where the sunny days do fold around me
and in all of this I long for and miss you.
