In Lands Of Deep Snow Drift Winters Poem by Terence George Craddock

In Lands Of Deep Snow Drift Winters

in lands of deep snow drift winters
where frost-kissed pines stand sentinel
spring tiptoes forth seasons new hope
buds unfurl delicate gem bursting greens
promising life's scent sweet resurgence

summer vibrant sunshine season of life
throws open welcoming sun-kissed arms
days hot stretch carefree long limbed
life joy echoes abuzz through meadows
in hot warm days linger long shadows

autumn arrives fall leaves cascade down
a symphony of russet gold crimson brown
leaves whisper time secrets change seasonal
tempered endings beginnings intertwined
air grows cool crisp cold harbingers change

one morning warning snow settling will come
winter misery snap descends an icy shroud
breath blown biting chill hunger gnawing
wind howls hungry frost etches patterns
on windowpanes sealing life's fragile fate

frozen death awaits those who shelter late
a quiet beauty a white snow stillness haunts
winter relentless claims ruthless merciless cull
life weaves threads breath adaptive resilience
life is a tapestry of seasons forever entwined
