In Our Wonderful World Poem by David Harris

In Our Wonderful World

As I listen to Louis Armstrong singing
what a wonderful world
I get to thinking of all
the good that goes on around us.
Of people helping people
of strangers with weathered brows
coming forward in times of need.
People comforting sick people and animals
who have been abandoned in life.
The unsung heroes of everyday life
who pass us unnoticed in the street.
It is a wonderful world we live in
as we look on the positive side.
For this we should rejoice
letting the good people know
that their kindness is never forgotten
in our wonderful world.
