In Romance Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

In Romance

She reacted angrily
With no words available readily
I offered only smile
And kept quiet as simple style

She got boiled up
With intention to foil
Any attempt that was aimed
But alas! I maimed

“What do you want”? She retorted
“You can’t” I reported
So I have no choice
But to voice

I am unable to understand
Your present stand
She was sore and sad
I wanted to make her mad

She will not show her face
So to show displeasure in this case
I too was enjoying her annoyance
Is this not permitted in romance?

anger is permited 100 percent. Most times smiles hide so much that only anger can veil what is underneath. This must be enjoyed also just as i enjoyed reading this piece!
