In The Dense Of Wood. Poem by Ammu Sachariah

In The Dense Of Wood.

Rating: 4.8

Awakening the ghostly calls of the wild loon
I looked upon the forest stretching into infinity
And set my mind to go deep into it.
The wood seems lonely from the way we look in
But the dense is filled with unknown treasures
It was scary to step into the dense of it
But the cool and silky breeze invited me to its heart
The sight inside was wonderful.
There I saw the trees lifting their hands to touch the sky
The trees bouncing in the wind
Made me happy and cool.
The soft tender leaves touched my face
With soft and scattered fingers
The howling wolf, roaring Bear and the songs of birds
Took me to another world of Devils.
The snakes creeping on the trees
Put their tongue out side and showed the thirst
To make me the prey.
The journey through the thorns
And scary dangerous animals made me so upset
But my mind was relaxed by the thought
I am away from this filthy world.

What a lovely and stylish description of woods, beautiful and romantic on one hand and dangerous on the other, still a better place than the society in that we are living. It.s another amazing poem from the great poetess............10

A lovely narrative piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with insight. A good depiction of the beauty of natural environment. Thanks for sharing Ammu. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

Thank you Rsmesh. In the wood if we do not disturb the wild animals, they don't make any harm.
