In The Hall Of Fame Poem by Guess Who

In The Hall Of Fame

There I was among the well known
I was there as if I had totally grown
I was there standing in the hall of fame
Feeling weak I stood in shame
I was there In the middle of the poetry guild
Being there made my emotions go wild
I was there lost all alone
I was there just for a small reason
I was there because my emotions had shown
I was there because I suffered treason
I was there because I acted strong
I was there singing my beloved song
The song I wrote to recall my story
The song that led to my glory
I just felt small among my race
I just felt that i had taken a very fast pace
The footprints drawn by the bird
Afterall it's his song that I heard
The song I'll never forget
The source of my inspiration all along
The reason I became so strong
The person to whom I wrote the song
The person I brought back when he left
The person who made me understand life
A person I thank for his help daily
Without him I wouldn't have wrote my poetry
Without him I wouldn't be as happy
Feeling great reading out our story
