In The Meadow Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

In The Meadow

As I lay upon a grassy pillow
Where rays of light awake the sleeping meadow
From Heaven's lamp and stars that shine
For weary souls the stars are guides

Life gives birth to hearts made gentle
Now asleep, they dream beneath the meadow
Beneath the ground of star lit skies
They live in dreams of years gone by

Death is like a dream we wake
The love of all our hearts shall take
Beyond the stars and Golden Gates
Our loving pets and family waits

For now I have this moonlit dream
Above my love, once everything
In this meadow where she sleeps
I can rest with her and be at peace
